Indentation Hardness Tester acc. to Buchholz Model 263

The Model 263 indentation hardness tester consists of a metal block in which two pointed feet and the indenter are mounted. The indenter, made of hardened steel, is a wheel with a cutting-shaped (120°) ground edge. The total mass of the tester is 1000 ±5 g. The test load is set in the range of 4.90 N to 4.95 N (corresponding to 500 to 505 g). Thus, it meets the requirements of all standards. The measuring microscope has 20x magnification and built-in illumination. It has a measuring range of 4 mm with a pitch of 0.1 mm.
